Southern Fire & Rescue Service: Disclaimer
Following recent enquiries,
Southern Fire & Rescue Service would like to clarify that it has not
entered into any
agreement with any Local Authority Fire & Rescue
Service for the use of its
personnel, fire engines or equipment
in the event of any industrial
action by the regular fire service. Southern Fire & Rescue
Service is run by and employs
both ex firefighters and serving
firefighters, so we are unable to supply personnel for fire cover in
such circumstances.
Southern Fire & Rescue has not
entered into any agreement to assist any local
Fire Brigade, Fire & Rescue Service or
County Council with
emergencies, eg flooding.
We no longer offer such services, and can not be called upon for any
emergency work.
Southern Fire & Rescue only offer the services as shown on this
website, and do not
offer any public
service: our personnel and equipment will only be
used for private work.
To that end, we only offer services which are
not available from the
regular fire service.
