Our Personnel

All employees of Southern Fire and Rescue Service are fully qualified fire fighters with many years
experience serving with various fire brigades throughout the UK. In common with county-based
fire brigades, all staff undergo rigorous selection and training programmes, and their knowledge
is constantly assessed and renewed during frequent training drills.

Members of staff used for the teaching of fire education in schools, hospitals and nurseries are all fully
CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and trained in the teaching of children.

We also have staff qualified in teaching First Aid and the safe use of fire extinguishers.
